Re-provision a phone is required if your phone is not working properly or if you want to change the extension that is currently on the device. To start this process, it is necessary to do a factory reset to the device and after that, it can get the new configuration.
Doing a Factory reset to the device
Please follow the steps below to do a factory reset on your Polycom VVX250
1. On your device, press the "home" button.
2. Select "Settings"
3. Press on "Advanced"
4. Type the device password. It is generally "7627".
5. Select "Administration Settings"
6. Select the "Reset to Default" option
7. Press "Reset to Factory"
8. The "Are you sure?" message is going to show up on the screen. Select "yes".
9. Wait until the phone reboot.
10. A new pop-up will ask you to type the old password and the new one. Please add the following:
Old password: 456
New Password: 7627
Finally, press "Enter".
Once the phone is up again, you will need the IP address of your phone to get access to it using a computer or laptop that is on the same network as your phone.
To know the IP address, please follow the steps below:
1. On the phone, press the "Home" button.
2. Then, select the option "Settings".
3. Select "Status".
4. Press on "Network".
5. Finally, select the option "TCP/IP Parameters".
6. On the tab "IPv4 Addr", you will find the phone IP address.

Adding the Server URL to your phone
1. Type "https://" and the phone IP address that you found on your browser of preference. Sometimes, the browser detects the IP as a risk, please click on the "Advanced" button and click on "Proceed to 172.16.0.yourdevice(unsafe)".
2. A new tab will pop up. Type the device password you configured in the factory reset process.
3. Go to the "Settings" tab, and select "Provisioning Server".
4. On the "Server Type", select 'HTTPS' from the drop menu.
5. On the "Server Address", copy the following link https://endpoints1-phx.peerlogic.com/cfg/ Make sure you do not have any spaces in the beginning or at the end of it.
6. Click on the "Save" button at the end of the page.
7. On the top menu, go to the "Utilities" tab, and select "Reboot Phone".
8. Wait until the phone reboot.
9. Your phone should be showing the extension and BLFs if you have them enabled.
