How To Check Your Voicemail

Learn how to check all of your voicemail boxes on Peerlogic Voice! This article provides a guide on how to access voicemail for your personal phone, call queues, as well as on the soft phones and physical phones.

Steps:

Main Queue/General Voicemail:

1. Enter on the dialpad (physical phone, dialpad, or webapp) 5000.

2. You will be prompted to enter your account number, enter 4001.

3. You will be prompted to enter your password, enter 4001#. 

4. If this is your first time checking it, it will ask you to say your name. To work around this, you can hang up and try again.

5. Your voicemails will begin to play.

 

After Hours General Voicemail:

1. Enter on the dialpad  (physical phone, dialpad, or webapp) 5000.

2. You will be prompted to enter your account number, enter 4002.

3. You will be prompted to enter your password, enter 4002#. 

4. If this is your first time checking it, it will ask you to say your name. To work around this, you can hang up and try again.

5. Your voicemails will begin to play.

* Please note some practices have all voicemails copy into 4001, if this is the case you will not need to check the after hours voicemail queue as they will all already be in the main queue voicemail.

 

Personal Voicemail via Envelope Button:

1. On the physical phone, select the envelope icon. 

2. When prompted, enter your extension number followed by the #.

3. Your messages will begin to play.

 

Personal Voicemail via Dialing 5000:

1. Dial 5000 (physical phone, dialpad, or webapp).

2. Enter your extension number when prompted. 

3. Enter your extension number followed by # when prompted for the password.

Q: What is my personal voicemail box?

A: Your personal voicemail only hosts voicemails specifically left on your phone, this may be useful if you have your specific extension as an Auto Attendant option or are left a message after a call is transferred to you. 

Q: What is the general voicemail box?

A: The general voicemail box is tied to the 4001 main queue, which hosts all of the phones taking calls in one place. It pools all voicemail messages left during business hours into one spot where you can easily check them all in one place!

Q: What is the envelope button for?

A: The envelope button allows you to check your extension’s voicemail, this would be used to access your personal messages. 

Q: Why do I dial 5000?

A: The extension 5000 houses the culmination of voicemail messages and by dialing 5000, you should be able to access these stored messages.
